The barrel heads, staves and the metal hoops from distilleries around the Bluegrass are incorporated into a lovely side table that balances form and function. Barrel hoops wrap the heads, while four staves with original markings and patina are secured in place using vintage, square-head bolts. Bottom shelf made from locally sourced, re-claimed oak rests 7" off the floor. VARIETY OF HEADS AVAILABLE. HEIGHT IS ALSO CUSTOMIZABLE. -
Following the staves natural curvature, this elegant centerpiece bowl offers a cross-section glimpse inside the barrel! Simply designed metal legs and an understated "fish tail" scroll foot are individually hammered on the anvil to custom fit the radius of each piece. This elevates the bowl giving it a nice, airy touch. Finished with 3 coats of food-grade safe butcher block oil. -

Steel hardware on each Bootlegger Cabinet is slightly distressed and hammered for texture to create accents that blend seamlessly with the naturally aged patina of the bourbon barrel. The handcrafted features on this piece are a mile long. *Bottom shelf lazy Susan made from re-claimed oak with it's naturally aged and distressed look. *1/4" glass middle shelf with polished edges *Overhead lights with an exterior switch and electric chord access in back of barrel (6' length of chord included). *Keep your contents secure with a vintage, cast iron padlock and 2 skeleton keys. *Hand forged clasp attached to both doors for hooking padlock. *Twisted steel shot glass holders inside doors with 4 shot glasses. *Custom, hand forged hinges individually made to fit the curvature of each barrel. *Concealed magnetic door catches *Barrel hoops secured with squarehead washer style screws all around. *Inside char thoroughly scraped out and sealed so no char residue is left. *Barrel thoroughly sanded smooth to the touch. *Finished inside & out with multiple coats of wood conditioner and polyurethane for a durable, long lasting finish. Barrels are stacked and stored on their sides and periodically turned or shifted. The buildings have no climate control and are subject to the full spectrum of Kentucky's wild swings in weather patterns. Bourbon moves in and out of the wood as it expands and contracts with the ambient temperature. Much of the bourbon magic happens there. The Rickhouse Coffee Table is reminiscent of a barrel aging in it's rack. Crafted from bourbon whiskey barrels and 100% re-claimed oak that has been salvaged from tobacco barns, fences, etc. All of the locally sourced lumber is carefully milled to highlight the saw-marks, knots and splits. Markings on the barrel and features in the tops and base will vary. The fully hinged table top includes a hydraulic lifter for easy opening and to keep the "lid" in an upright position. The barrel is securely fastened to the solid oak base. -

Three staves are anchored to the steel supports with old-school, square head lags.
