About Our Products

Each product from Highbridge Barrel Co is hand-made in Kentucky using locally sourced bourbon barrels, re-claimed lumber & hand-forged hardware. As with any handcrafted product, no two are alike. Slight irregularities and imperfections should not be considered defects. Each item is unique, so the final look and finish may vary slightly. While every effort is made to create uniformity in the product line, exact replicas are impossible to create due to the unique nature of the barrel materials being used. For this reason, each product is one-of-a-kind.

Returns

Refunds are not available for custom furniture items. Each item is made to order and we do not keep stock of custom made items as they are made specifically for each customer.

However, we will accept returns on standard products on a case by case basis for the first 3 days after delivery. If a return is approved, the customer is responsible for ALL return shipping costs.

Cancellations

HBC will accept cancellations on all orders within seven days of the order date. After that, we will review cancellation requests on a case by case basis and will charge for design time incurred or materials purchased for the job.

We take steps to ensure the privacy of your personal information and will not sell or disclose any of your information to a third party.

Custom Orders

Many items are ready-made and available in our store. We can also custom-build an item to your specifications – just contact us to get started! All purchases will be processed within 48 hours. We will contact you with a confirmation and time frame for completion and information about shipping.

Shipping, Delivery & Pickups

SHIPPING: Many of our products ship directly to your home via USPS, but due to size of larger furniture items, other products may require a freight carrier. Please refer to the Product Description for specific shipping information.  Please contact us for competitive shipping quote to your zip code. 

LOCAL & REGIONAL DELIVERIES: We deliver furniture in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana on a regular basis. Please contact us for a quote.

CUSTOMER PICK-UPS: Many customers choose to pick up their items rather than have it delivered. For this reason we do not include any delivery expenses in the prices of our furniture. Please contact us to arrange arrange a pick-up time.

Q. WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Q. CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE FREIGHT SHIPPING PROCESS?

Larger furniture items will be transported to your home/office via freight truck. The freight company will vary based on the most competitive quote received and the shipping location. Unless a dock is available at your location, most items will ship in a truck with lift gate service so the item can be lowered curbside. Larger furniture pieces are packaged on top of a pallet. Drivers will often move your palletized furniture with a pallet jack (handheld forklift) to your house/ garage/ etc if you ask politely or offer a small tip. The extra help from a driver is not a given, but never hurts to ask.

It is important that you be present when the product arrives and advisable that another person be available to aid if necessary. Barrel furniture is heavy and awkward to handle solo. The freight company will have contacted you prior to delivery to set up a time for drop-off.

Q. WHAT KIND OF LEAD TIME SHOULD I EXPECT FOR COMPLETION AND DELIVERY?

All pieces are custom made, so please allow reasonable time considerations for fabrication. Orders will be filled as quickly as possible. We strive to meet every deadline and will make every effort to remain within the estimated time frame (4-6 weeks for larger items). In the event that we are past that time frame, we will provide updates on the progress of your order. If you need an item by a specific date, please make your request known and we will try our best to fulfill that need. Otherwise, we kindly request patience and remember, these are not “factory made” products. Each product is created, one at a time.

In general, once your product has been purchased we will contact you and discuss your delivery time.

Q. IS CUSTOMER PICK-UP AN OPTION?

Totally. We can arrange date/time for pickup from the shop.

Q.  IS LOCAL / REGIONAL DELIVERY AN OPTION?

Yes. Delivery fee will depend on the exact distance, but we deliver furniture in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana on a regular basis. Please contact us for a quote.

Q. WHAT TYPE OF FINISH IS APPLIED TO THE PRODUCTS?

The finish and application for each product will vary depending upon its purpose. For products that require a durable exterior grade finish, multiple coats of spar urethane are applied. Interior furniture and accessories typically receive a wood conditioner or sanding sealer first coat, then polyurethane second and third coat. All serving trays and center piece bowls require several coats of butcher block oil for a food safe finish.
